At this time, Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center is currently looking to expand their complement of physicians serving their Family Medicine Department. We are located at 100 Hospital Road, directly across the street from the Hospital, at a newly constructed professional office building. We utilize a state of the art electronic medical records system which provides an efficient and robust documentation tool. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of an expanding Family Medicine practice, participate in the teaching and development of the Family Medicine Residents, while serving the neighboring community. The Family Practice Physician must have the following qualifications: must be Board certified or Board eligible in Family Medicine; must possess current medical licensure and the required credentials to become appointed to the medical staff at the Hospital; must possess the qualifications to obtain full admitting privileges in the Hospital; must possess the skills and credentials to perform procedures and care for the types of problems commonly seen in a Family Medical Practice including common skin procedures, OBGYN and pediatric assessments; must be able to establish and maintain an environment of inquiry and scholarship; must regularly participate in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs and conferences with the residents.
