Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalency. Medical assistant certification required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required in order to communicate effectively with multi-level staff members and patients.

Responsibilities include: the ability to interact with and deal effectively with all age groups in order to provide assistance to the professional staff. Prepare patient for exam and assist provider. Collect and process laboratory specimens, take EKG, obtain vitals and participate in obtaining patient medical history. Record all activity into electronic medical record. Make follow up appointments, obtain referrals and authorizations, and process paperwork as needed. Handle a satisfactory volume of patients within the prescribed daily schedule. Answer phone, take clear messages and route messages accordingly. Detail oriented and ability to work independently.
